Outreach and Membership Committee
We are growing! Do you have a neighbor or friend who is not a GFCA member?
Ask them to join. Help us reach our membership growth goal of 1,000 members
to strenghen the influence of this "collective voice" with elected officials.

Who Are We? We Are Your Neighbors!
GFCA provides a forum for residents to discuss issues and problems affecting the entire community. Working together, we seek to “voice” our collective interests to elected representatives, local and state government officials, public institutions, and other private and non-profit entities that may affect our quality of life. As an umbrella organization for the entire Great Falls community, we are stronger than any individual citizen or homeowner association. We hope that you will consider joining your neighbors in preserving and enhancing the historic low density and semi-rural character of our community as it continues to grow and evolve.
Although GFCA volunteers donate their time, member dues provide the financial support needed by the association to:
- keep the community abreast of issues and events
- perform outreach to homeowner associations and nonprofit groups in Great Falls
- undertake special initiatives
- hire experts or legal resources if needed
- make our interests and concerns known to government decision makers.
We urge you to get involved in whatever way you can — whether providing ideas and feedback, working on GFCA committees, attending general membership meetings, or simply joining the association.
If you are not already a member, we encourage you to complete the application and return it with your annual dues check. Please be sure to indicate what areas are of interest to you.
Thank you for making a difference to your community.

What We Do - The Committee promotes and implements ways to obtain new members and to maximize renewals via appropriate letters/e-mails and participation (table or booth) at GFCA membership meetings and other events. It occasionally proposes promotional dues or other dues changes. Committee also is responsible for updating and management of membership records.
Outreach - Organizing semi-annual meetings with Great Falls Non-Profit Organizations, and separately, with Homeowner Associations to gather input on their programs, interchange ideas on common successes, problems, and viewpoints on GFCA activities, and matters pertaining to local community political or other issues. Members of this sub-committee and/or other GFCA Board members will attend Non-Profit organization meetings, and one member has been specifically assigned to work closely with GFBPA and assist in promoting local businesses. As needed or requested, special meetings will be held with a specific homeowner association, sometimes together with a member of a concerned different GFCA Committee.
- Meeting with Non-Profit Organizations
The GFCA/Non-Profit Organization semi-annual meeting was reestablished on March 13 at the Grange. About 35 people attended, including 14 local non-profit organizations. A primary objection was an inter-change of ideas and upcoming community activities. Non-profit organizations were encouraged to send GFCA info on their meetings and special events for publication in the GFCA News and Website. The meeting Moderator was Ed Behrens, Co-Chair of the GFCA Outreach and Membership Committee; Blair Watters is the GFCA/Non-Profit Organization Coordinator. The main speaker of the evening was Ben Case, President of Case Consulting Services and a local resident. Mr. Case had intense, instructive, and stimulating interactions with his audience. To view the Presentation by Ben Case, click here.
Events Participation - GFCA is the organizer of the Village Green Summer Concerts and election town meetings, co-sponsor of many public forums involving governmental entities, and an active participant in several local special events such as the Fourth of July, Farmers’ Market, etc.
GFCA is a non-profit organization
with the following purposes:
- To preserve and enhance the historic, low-density, semi-rural character of the Great Falls community via promotion of sound planning and development policies;
- To promote community interests and services
through non-partisan advocacy;
- To stimulate citizen participation in community affairs and its organizations;
- To provide a forum for the exchange of community information and ideas; and,
- To foster and develop policies for economic, educational, recreational, cultural, social, and environmental improvement and to protect natural resources.
