On April 14th, GFCA held the third in a series of public meetings on the proposed rezoning and development of Brooks Farm. Part of the association’s fact finding and investigation of the pending application, the discussion focused on environmental issues associated with the proposed development that have been raised by the community.
In response to concerns expressed at each of GFCA’s public meetings as well as ongoing dialogue with local residents over the last several months, the GFCA Executive Board moved a resolution opposing the rezoning application to be voted on by the general membership. The vote will occur at the May Town Hall meeting on May 12, 2015, 7:30 p.m., Forestville Elementary School, 1085 Utterback Store Road.
While the public is welcome at the meeting, only GFCA members will be allowed to vote on the resolution. The status of your membership can be found by logging into to this website (at the upper right). All members in good standing (dues paid and current) on May 12 will be able to vote. Renewal payments can be made on gfca.org.
