I have noticed a fox with mange in my neighborhood.  Mange is an extremely painful condition where mites burrow in the animal's skin.   The animal will scratch it self to the point that it loses all of its fur.  For foxes, this means they will have no protection from the cold and will likely die. The mites may also transfer to our pets. However, the good news is that this condition is entirely treatable. I have purchased medicine that will kill the mites if given in the right dosage to the foxes. If you find a fox with mange, please contact me and we will try to set up food stations with the medicine contained within food for the fox.  The treatment should take a few weeks, then the fox will recover, ending the fox's misery and ensuring that the mites do not transfer to our pets.
