Draft recommendations from the recent Super NoVa study include express and bus rapid transit, as well as high occupancy vehicle lanes, for Route 7. While demand for bus service from Great Falls and other communities bordering Route 7 has been low, it is forecast that ridership will increase, especially among those who reside in Loudoun County and beyond. At its October meeting the GFCA Transportation Committee approved a motion to support the Super NoVa Transit and TDM Vision Plan for mass transit alternatives in Northern Virginia, in particular that planned for Route 7, and commitment of state and federal funds so that critical projects can be addressed.
