Grange Reopening Celebration

  • GF Grange

The Fairfax County Parks Authority, County Supervisor John Foust, the GFCA, and other Civic Groups will celebrate the reopening of the Great Falls Grange, which has been closed for several months for ADA renovations including an elevator and access improvements, as well as other enhancements.

The GF Grange (#738) was established in 1920, and the building was completed on May 4, 1929.  It was a chapter of the national Grange movement founded in 1867, to serve as a promoter of farming and commercial practices.  The GF Grange served as a hub of community life in Great Falls for many decades.  Its Friday night dances and fried chicken dinners were popular events, and it held a annual community fair each year.
