GFCA Town Hall on Proposed Dark Sky Preserve

Protection for the skies above the County Observatory at the Turner Farm Park is now beginning to take shape and representatives from the County Zoning Administrator’s staff, along with Supervisor Foust will join a GFCA-sponsored Town Hall panel on the proposed ordinance on March 24, 2022, at 7:00 p.m..  The Town Hall Webinar will be conducted via ZOOM.  

Staff will present suggestions about the scope of the ordinance amendment (believed to be a one-half mile radius surrounding the Observatory) and preliminary thoughts on how exterior lighting in that area could be managed to benefit the County Observatory.
